Though weak and weary, tired and spent
He asks us to live as though we were sent

By a God up above, who knows all our needs
whether gathering us up, or sowing us like seeds

We’re never too far from the grasp of His hand,
as children He loves, He seeks, and He plans

our lives, ahead of time, never surprised
to see what unfolds before His own eyes

Though we don’t see like Him, nor know in full yet,
we can trust in His will, and never forget

that as we draw closer to the line that we cross,
we can look behind knowing what we’ve gained and we’ve lost
