Inside My Heart (A Prayer) Elizabeth, May 7, 2025May 7, 2025 Courtesy of PixaBay. Inside my heart, no one but You will see the reason I am so blue Not yellow, or pink, or green or red, Nor purple, or gray, like clouds overhead Only You know the real and true me The part of me I never want others to see The self that fears, and seeks to hide from others, and even myself inside It’s there, inside, my heart, You’d find the love, as light, choosing to shine away from the others, alone if you may, in a room with myself, I’d much rather stay But on the other side of my heart a presence yearns to make a new start but in order to make me someone new, I must open the door, and pay what is due, Realize and empathize, know what is real, accept all the things that I say, think or feel, never to silence the voice, for I know it is from this all creativity flows Inside my heart, I seek and find The God for whom I’ve always pined, who never turns His back on me, and turns my heart inside out, for all to see Never believe what lies inside is not worthy to be open wide Take a chance, and dive right in Be loved, and love, dare again To know yourself, and others well, to honor life, and live it well, to take a chance on the unknown, step inside your heart, and make it known *** Uncategorized
